Who this site is for

AnyPS5 Guide helps readers understand what the open-source project does, locate its original releases, and use its documentation. This website is independent and unofficial. It is not affiliated with Sony, PlayStation, or the AnyPS5 project maintainers.

The software project is maintained at boykopovar/AnyPS5 on GitHub. Its README describes automatic executable porting using a relinker and dynamically linked system-library implementations, without emulation or a separate runtime process.

How the guide is maintained

  • Feature and setup claims cite upstream README, usage, build, input, compatibility, or release documents.
  • Each technical page shows when its sources were checked and links to the source snapshot.
  • Upstream test reports are attributed. This site's interface tests are not software compatibility tests.
  • An unknown result stays unknown. No synthetic ratings, download counts, search-volume claims, or broad compatibility percentages are used.
  • Release assets and evolving main-branch documents are described separately.

Rights and distribution

This site uses its own typography and functional interface, licensed hardware photography, and links to creator-published videos. It distributes no game binaries, firmware, cryptographic keys, or proprietary console libraries. The project's GPL-2.0-only code license does not grant rights to third-party games or assets.

Photography and video credits

The console photograph is by Osh33m, with background removal by Soberian. The controller photograph is by Alex Cochrane / Viper polo. Both are used under CC BY-SA 4.0, resized and converted to WebP. The social preview composite also uses the console photo and is distributed under that license. Image credit manifest.

Video images and players are served by YouTube and remain associated with their creators. Every video card links to its original publication. Approximate view counts are snapshots checked on October 8, 2026. Creator footage is separate from the upstream compatibility record.

Software questions and source changes

For software bugs, search the project's issue tracker and include a useful environment report. The project is the source of software support. For an outdated fact in this guide, compare the linked snapshot with the current upstream document before relying on it.
